This was the first time this year, that the Loop DC crew boarded the Boomerang for an up close and personal show for the real heads, with another suspenseful tour on the Potomac river.
Nikki and Dave DuBois provided their usual warmth from behind the bar, and while socializing with party guests. There were a variety of libations to choose from once you board; my personal choice is a bucket of beer and a bottle of champagne. It was a little chilly, but the view and the music was enough to keep everyone dancing in the wind. We grooved to the music, and cruised up and down the Potomac River. The views of the National Monument, John F. Kennedy Center, and other memorials were breathtaking as the low hanging clouds shrouded their tops. People started going below the top deck to a covered area, as the sun set. The flashing lights and stocked bar were more than enough to keep the party going. Then we heard a change in the music. Dark beats reverberated through our eardrums, calling us back to the top deck. There, DJ Lisa Frank was curating deep sounds and everyone was definitely feeling it. The energy was unstoppable until we docked. 😦
Techno and Pizza will definitely be in attendance of the next Soundwaves party. We are thrilled that All Day I Dream’s, Lauren Ritter, will be coming aboard on June 26th.
Ciao!
