Last night, Techno and Pizza made it to Treehouse Miami, for their weekly ladies night to see Gene Farris, Chicago’s one and only, classic house music legend. Gene Farris’ contagious vibe was buzzing all around this cozy, intimate nightclub. The crowd was diverse and mostly European, many of them locals in the South Florida area. As the night was progressing into morning, dozens of house music lovers were dancing, shuffling, jumping, and cheering. This was especially true when “The Beat” was incorporated into his set along with other remixes he’s produced. We hope that his set will be posted or published somewhere online sometime soon, because it left us impressed.
Overall, it was another successful night for Techno and Pizza. Treehouse is definitely a club with an innate setting, phenomenal sound that attracts a lot less people with sort of a family reunion feel. If you are ever looking for underground music in Miami Beach, look no further, Treehouse will not disappoint.
What would’ve made the night perfect? If Gene Farris brought some of that Chicago deep dish style pizza to Treehouse along with his nasty house music. Thank you Gene, thank you Treehouse and thank you Miami for a wonderful experience!
