Dancin’ to Canson

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again: the Boomerang Boat party is sick. They continue to bring the good times and good music to the DC party scene. Raffi, of Loop DC, put on another great performance, spinning majority of the party. The ride started off slow, with some chill melodic beats. As we gained speed and momentum, so did the party. The sun looked gorgeous as it set on the Potomac. The party started an hour later and we were all grateful; less sun made it much more bearable to frolic longer on the upper deck in our festive frocks. It was dark before Canson took the stage. While I feel like his performance was sub-par, that did not stop the party. Everyone was in rare form by this point (excellent bar service and shared shot-skis probably had something to do with it) enjoying the experience. We danced and raged until the very last, abrupt end. It was like the power cord was literally and figuratively pulled on the party. The lull didn’t last long for most; many continued on to Eighteenth Street Lounge to finish out their night.
