Believe it or not, SXM Festival is just around the corner, taking place in Saint Martin, and the day and night party schedules have been revealed. SXM Festival is a five-day extravaganza of techno and house shows with tropical temperatures and beautiful beachside locations in Saint Martin with an extraordinarily loaded talent pool.
We’ll be kicking off the festival by going to see Behrouz on the first day, hosted by our friends at Do Not Sit On The Furniture. Other artists who will be part of this days lineup are: Yokoo, Nu, and Nico Stojan. SXM Festival’s trailblazer Julian Prince has verified that the day parties will be taking place at Happy Bay, a gorgeous beach in the French island. Happy Bay lies to the Northwest of the island, between the Bay of Grand Case, and Friars Bay. The beauty of this tropical, intimate bay, with breathtaking views will set the backdrop of SXM Festivals day parties. Following the Do Not Sit party, we will be heading to see Blond:ish at Refuge. Last year most of the evening events were at Sky Beach and Tantra. Refuge will be a new one this year and we look forward to checking it out. We really appreciate the outdoor venue parties more than anything and this year SXM Festival has really outdone itself. Last year Maceo Plex was on at Tantra Nightclub and it was packed. The upstairs room was quiet with not much going on, a good place to just unwind and have quiet time. This year, Tantra is still happening but not all the night parties will be there, and we are glad for that!
A few other events on our must attend list are: Any of the sunrise parties at Laylas Beach Bar and the official closing event with Richie Hawtin and Ricardo Villalobos at Happy Bay. VIP ticket holders: Last year’s dreamlike VIP party at Loterie Farm has been transferred to a phenomenal, five-star, coastal villa overlooking the ocean. This is another one not to miss.
