D’julz’ at Don’t Sit

Last Friday in Miami was one for the books. Starting at Top of the East Hotel, we checked out Sugar, a rooftop bar with spectacular views of Magic city. After Sugar, we stumbled into Segafredo Brickell for a glass of wine and headed to Villa Azur in South Beach, which was oh so swanky. Once we finished dinner at Villa Azur, and were all liquored up, we were craving some banging house music or techno to dance to. Much of Miami’s creative class, and music aficionados have long moved their events to downtown Miami or beyond, but Do Not Sit is located in South Beach, and still draws an awesome crowd. Plus, we wanted to pay our dear friend Behrouz‘ nightclub a visit, and show support. As we approached Do Not Sit, we could hear the bass pumping and were greeted by friendly door staff. Every step we made, we could hear the music from inside getting louder and louder; and we were ready for all the intense vibes. Once we got inside, we danced for 4 hours straight, and the rest is a blur. The music put us into a trance, and we could feel every baseline through our body. This nightclub is the peanut butter to our jelly, the peas in our pod, the butter on our toast, you get the point. Don’t Sit is truly one of the only venues in Sobe that knows how to get down to the underground. We had friends at Electric Pickle, Treehouse, Bardot, and Heart, but somehow we gravitated towards Don’t Sit to dance to D’julz.  D’julz, the Frenchman, is an expert DJ and the lead of Bass Culture Records. He is truly an expert behind the decks and he definitely rocked our socks off.
