We can keep repeating this over and over and over, but and we urge you to experience it for yourself. Lee makes us feel magical. That technicolor emotionalism is something that has never been duplicated, by any artist, or at any show we have ever been to. We have visited All Day I Dream parties all over the world, but the ones in Brooklyn have that extra oomph. While it’s always the music, the people, the beauty, the love, that attracts our tribe, that extra special kick for the Brooklyn shows is a fact. All Day I Dream began right here, on a rooftop, not too far away, in 2011.
We woke up, smelling the airy dreamy vibes and acid-like colorful beauty in our eyes. As we got closer to the entrance, my hairs were standing up. I heard the thumps, I felt the mysticism, as Hoj was bringing in a dramatic beat with Mediterranean undertones and vocals from a far land away. It seemed, once again Techno and Pizza ascended into a melancholy psychedelic dream-like world, the same world that Lee Burridge pulls us into, time after time after time. The venue was like a castle, the dreamiest nightclub castle ever, massive with 4 levels, and various vantage points, all with a different energy across the board.
As I made my way to the front to experience the bliss Hoj was showering us with, I completely forgot why I was there. I literally forgot to take a single photo within the first 30 minutes of being there. As I rubbed my eyes and looked around, I smiled at the fact that once again, this party was able to bring together beautiful friends and strangers to dance, to be taken away, to dream together, in this beautiful castle of mirages.
As the day progressed into night, Lee Burridge, and Yokoo took us to new heights with their deep tracks, and went even deeper as the night came. Yokoo can throw down, especially when he is on at dusk. His style changes depending on the set time, and crowd, which is a tell-tale sign of his diverse talent. Counting down the days until the next All Day I Dream on the East Coast. Thank you ADID!
