So much hype, that we need a slice. There is the massive banger that Mikey Lion and Sacha Robotti just released on Desert Hearts Records titled Old dirty hearts (please make sure to download as its available for free!) and then recently Green Velvet dropping “Flip The Joint” by Mikey and Sascha last week.
On our previous post going fresh into the Desert Hearts Festival in California, we promised to be continued. Well my fellow pizza heads, truth be told, we still haven’t come back from that trip. Our excitement levels are through the roof that our techno-galactic spaceship gets to make another stop this weekend to see our favorite boys, with all of our California dreams, The Desert Hearts crew. They will be at the Knockdown Center in Masbeth New York on Saturday August 5th for a day party from 2 pm – 10 pm.
We can always count on this crew to bring their supreme intonation of house, techno, & love to the East Coast. The City Hearts party series have always given us a small glimpse of their exclusive festivals thrown on an Indian reservation in southern California. After visiting Desert Hearts festival this year, the question is now, will the boys be able to live up to the standards of the party they throw in SoCal? We think so =) they always bring the energy, and after all, the vibes create the mood.
Formed by a group of passionately creative Californians, the Desert Hearts movement is rooted in the ideals of Burning Man and soundtracked by the tones of the underground. Their bi-annual Desert Hearts festival and City Hearts party series calls upon radical self-reliance, intimacy, and forward thinking marathon style musical programming to create an idyllic community of music lovers and party-goers.
